WELBAR PROJECT     Promise

The 2,125 hectare Promise Property comprised of 18 claims (101 units) is located west and immediately adjacent to the Island Mountain Mine. Merit Mining holds a 100% interest in the Promise 1 - 8 claims and the Coulter 1 - 8 claims and has an option to earn 100% interest in the Whip 1 and 2 claims (9 units).

Merit Mining conducted limited exploration programs of geochemical surveys in 1998 and prospecting and stream sediment surveys in 2000. In 2001 the Company conducted a biogeochemical (bark) sampling program.
