GREENWOOD PROJECT Golden Crown
The Golden Crown Property lies 5km northeast of the Lexington property and covers a four kilometre long structurally controlled gold system that cuts a package of metavolcanics, intrusives and serpentinites. The system is defined by drilling, trench exposures, and geochemical and geophysical anomalies. This geological environment is similar to the Rossland gold camp where over 2 million ounces of gold were produced from gold rich massive sulphide veins. The most advanced portion of the property lies in the southeast extent of the claim block where two historic shafts and a 1,100 metre long adit provide access to the vein complex. P&E Mining Consultants Inc. calculated (October 2006) an Indicated resource, based upon drilling through 2003, of 105,000 tonnes grading 13.78 g/t gold and 0.55% copper or a gold equivalent of 15.33 g/t at a 6 g/t Au Eq cut-off. At the same cutoff, the Inferred resource is 8,000 tonnes grading 16.8 g/t gold and 0.55% copper or a gold equivalent of 18.35 g/t The gold equivalent is based on a gold price of US$494/oz and copper price of US$2.04/lb, based on a 24 month trailing average at August 31, 2006., to obtain a conversion factor of % copper x 2.832 + gold g/t = Au Eq. The Golden Crown deposit remains untested along its edges and at depth to increase its resources.
The Golden Crown vein system is manifested as a robust set of sub vertical, closely spaced, sub-parallel, massive sulphide veins with high gold and subordinate copper values. Up to thirteen sub parallel veins have been interpreted to date in an area 800 metres by 200 metres.
Soil and Electromagnetic Geophysical grid surveys, in 2004, identified and defined several new coincidental anomalies.
There is significant potential to expand the resource on this property within the prospective 800 metres by 200 metre area. This area is under-explored as indicated by the discovery, in 1998, of the Tiara vein located in the immediate vicinity of the historic workings. In addition, additional exploration is warranted along the full 4 kilometre gold system.
